not sure about the copper vessel thing. have heard that in some cases "indian childhood cirrhosis has been ascribed to storage of milk in copper vessels and there are reports of poisoning in young children as a result of high copper content in well water. liver copper content in such cases can exceed that found in overload due to wilson's disease"

even walking in muddy water can be dangerous. cases of leptospirosis are linked to rat urine going in gutter water which finally enters your body through open wounds....i would advise you to walk where there are no slums, garbage, if possible...

enjoy the monsoons without worrying too much. follow basic hygiene rules and you'll be fine. and don't stop yourself from enjoying the sensation of being drenched in the rain from fear of colds or pneumonia!

but people like farmer are waiting for rain as their need water for their crop. if they didn't get water then, they there will be nothing to eat.. i agree there a lot of chances diseases which come with rain, but we have to take care of our house and surrounding.
